Peace and Justice Works and Portland Copwatch supporters:
Some of you may have received information about this event with the PJW 
UPDATE that went out a few days ago... Two weeks from today we will be 
marking 25 years of Peace and Justice Works/ Portland Copwatch with a 
celebration on July 22 at 6 PM at the Unite Oregon office. Details are 
below including a link to a flyer for the event. Please let us know if you 
are planning to attend as we're trying to gauge how much food to get for 
the happening.

    Peace and Justice Works/Portland Copwatch 25th Anniversary Celebration
                      Saturday, July 22, 2017, 6 PM-8 PM
      Unite Oregon Office, 700 N Killingsworth (across from PCC Cascade)

Peace and Justice Works (PJW) and Portland Copwatch (PCW) are inviting the 
community to celebrate 25 years of working for a better world. Join us on 
Saturday, July 22 at 6 PM at the Unite Oregon office (700 N Killingsworth 
at Borthwick) for a fun and educational "stuff-raising" event. We will we 
watching videos of various PJW events through the years. Admission is 
anything from our wish list ( 
http://www.portlandcopwatch.org/wishlist.html)-- from a paper clip to a 
used computer, though cash and checks are also welcome. We'll have 
refreshments, memorabilia, information about PJW and PCW's first 25 years, 
and items for sale.

PJW is dedicated to promoting non-violent conflict resolution on local,
national and international levels. Its project group Portland Copwatch
promotes police accountability through citizen action. The Iraq
Affinity Group focuses on US policy in the "Middle East" and elsewhere.
Founded in 1992 as a chapter of Oregon PeaceWorks, PJW became its own
non-profit organization in 1996.

Video clips for the event are being provided by Flying Focus Video
Collective, which itself turned 25 in 2016.

The event will be preceded (from 4:00-5:30 PM) by PJW's summer
quarterly meeting discussing current and upcoming program activities.
