Peace and Justice Works supporters and allies

We are glad to be able to announce the below event coming up at the end of
September, a talk with Kathy Kelly covering Afghanistan, iraq and Yemen--
and US policy-- at PCC Cascade. We want to get the word out early to make
sure we get a good turnout!

We're also looking for groups who wish to cosponsor the event for a
sliding scale of $25-50. We can offer 1/2 of a table, it's not clear yet
whether groups can do fundraising at the tables yet but we should know
soon. If that's not an issue, please let us know ASAP if your group wants
to cosponsor! We will likely send the first official calendar listings out
next week on August 15, but we can add names up until the middle of
September.

The current flyer is posted on our site at
http://www.pjw.info/KKelly2018_Flyer.pdf

The below information is also posted online, with a link to the flyer, on

Thanks!!

Kathy Kelly has dedicated her life to bringing peace to those in
conflict zones. Her particular focus on the people of Iraq, Afghanistan
and Yemen helps expose the direct impacts of US policies including
sanctions, war, drones and military support for warring parties. She is
a frequent guest on Democracy Now! and her writings are posted widely.

This event is free and open to the public.

Cosponsored by Associated Students of Portland Community College and
Peace and Justice Works Iraq Affinity Group.
