Hi PJW supporters

The Peace and Justice Works Iraq Affinity Group is working on a 
mobilization with other groups to oppose the looming wars in Iran and 
Venezuela--- and to note that sanctions are a form of economic warfare.

The announcement below includes a link to the preliminary flyer which 
lists the eight organizations who are currently signed on. If you are in a 
group that wants to be listed as a cosponsor ($25-50 sliding scale) or 
endorser (no cost) please let us know!

I poked around quite a bit and can't find an official name for the
amphitheater that's closer to the river than the Salmon St. Springs 
fountain, if anyone knows the real name let me know.

                                  March/Rally
                           *Saturday, July 20, 2019*
                                    1:00 PM
             At the Amphitheater east of Salmon Street Springs in
        Waterfront Park (SW Salmon and Naito Pkwy at the River's edge)

There will be a march and rally on Saturday, July 20 primarily focusing
on the possibility of US military intervention in Iran and Venezuela,
but also calling attention to the use of sanctions as economic war. The
event will take place at 1 PM at the Amphitheater east of Salmon Street
Springs in Waterfront Park (SW Salmon and Naito Pkwy at the River's
edge).

Preliminary cosponsors include Peace and Justice Works Iraq Affinity
Group, Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights, and Jewish Voice
for Peace.

Preliminary endorsers include Portland Peaceful Response Coalition,
Recruiter Watch PDX, Peace Action Group of First Unitarian Church,
Hands Off Venezuela PDX, and People Organizing for Philippine
Solidarity.
