This is just a reminder that our summer quarterly meeting is coming up 
this Sunday, July 23 at 12:00 (casual conversation)/12:30 (business 
meeting).

We'll be recapping the Norman Solomon livestream and previewing the 
upcoming Hiroshima day event (more tomorrow), talking about PCW's 30th 
anniversary newsletter issue and work on police oversight, updating folks 
on the latest shows produced by Flying Focus, and more.

Remember to RSVP if you want to get the call-in number for this virtual 
meeting being held by teleconference! Materials including the contact info 
will be forwarded to RSVPers on Saturday.

I was going to send this out as a "reminder" but discovered that I neglected to
send out the full PJW UPDATE from early June as an email. it contains
information about the summer quarterly meeting (below) as well as the upcoming
Hiroshima Day memorial (on Wed Aug 9) and the work of PJW's project groups. I'll
send the rest of it tomorrow, but here's info on the quarterly meeting which is
coming up 11 days from now on Sunday the 23rd.

We hope you can be part of Peace and Justice Works' 32nd summer quarterly
meeting on Sunday, July 23. As we evaluate the fallout of the end of the COVID
emergency, we are once again holding this meeting as a conference call. We're
hoping our Fall meeting will be in person! We begin with casual conversation at
12 noon, followed by the meeting from 12:30-2:15 PM. Please RSVP to get the
conference call information.

The proposed agenda includes:

--updates on Affinity Group work (Copwatch, Iraq, Flying Focus, other);
--financial and office update, fund-raising, volunteer outreach;
--set Fall Quarterly meeting.

You don't have to be a member to attend-- join us to learn about PJW's various
projects!
