Greetings again Iraq Affinity Group supporters
Our next meeting is, perhaps appropriately, being held on Armistice Day,
Wednesday, November 11 (you probably know it as Veterans day, but it was
the day to mark the end of the war to end all wars, till the 2nd world
war... then the UN was created to prevent war, and see how great that's
working). Below is the proposed agenda for the monthly meeting of the Iraq
Affinity Group, at 7 PM on Wednesday at our office at 2807 SE Stark.
Here's the proposed agenda for Wednesday's meeting:
MISSION STATEMENT:
The Peace and Justice Works Iraq Affinity Group is committed to educating
the public about the effects of U.S. policy on the people of Iraq, and
other areas including SW Asia, North Africa, and the "Middle East."
7:00 PM Political update: brief headlines including what's new in
Iraq/Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Iran, Ukraine,
Gaza and more
7:25 PM Proposed and ongoing actions:
---Afghanistan 14 years later: October 11 mobilization
