This is an annual event hosted by the War Resisters League. They'll be out 
next Saturday down at the waterfront (a week from tomorrow). As we noted 
in the action against the USS Portland, the area now includes fencing 
adorned with signs that say "No Trespassing-- US Navy Restricted Area-- 
USE OF FORCE AUTHORIZED."

But no worries, the Festival and the protest are family-friendly events.

JOIN US to protest militarism at the Rose Festival--Navy & Coast Guard 
warships at the downtown seawall and military recruiting booths at 
CityFair.


Sat. June 9th - 1:30 to 3:30 pm.  We will meet by NW Naito Parkway, a 
couple of blocks north of the Burnside Bridge.


We will have plenty of signs and banners, but feel free to bring your own. 
Help us make a public statement for peace and against the glorification of 
war and militarism.  See you there for all or part of the time.
