Hello PJW supporters

After a long and fruitful discussion, the organizers of the mobilization 
against the (possible/ ongoing economic) wars in Iran and Venezuela agreed 
to move the date from Saturday July 20 to Sunday, July 28. Please make a 
note of it. As a result, the current calendar listing (below) and poster 
say "location TBA," we hope to have that resolved by Tuesday. If you have 
spread the word already please be sure to use THIS, the most current and 
accurate information.

We now have 23 groups on board. We also have hammered out a list of points 
by consensus of the planning meeting, which are listed with the groups' 
names below. We are still welcoming groups to be cosponsors ($25-50 
sliding scale) and endorsers (just say you support the event) who will 
help get the word out and build this to be a meaningful event.

BUT ALSO, if you want to contribute toward the event as an individual, 
please send a check to PJW and indicate "July 28 mobilization" in the memo 
field (or donate on line with that notation).

                     Sanctions Kill People Too!" March/Rally

     There will be a march and rally on Sunday, July 28 primarily focusing
     on the possibility of US military intervention in Iran and Venezuela,
     but also calling attention to the use of sanctions as economic war. The
     event will take place at 1 PM at **a location TBA**. PLEASE NOTE: The
     date was changed from July 20 to July 28.

     The main message of the event is "No U.S. War in Iran or Venezuela,"
     adding that "Sanctions Kill People Too!" Other points agreed on by
     event organizers are:

    o Demilitarize America- war only serves the 1%

    o No occupation, No coup, No media lies!

    o Stop the war on the border

    o Money for people and the planet, not war!

     Peace-Portland, Hands Off Venezuela PDX, Code Pink Portland, Portland
     Democratic Socialists of America, Women's International League for
