A forum including updates Iran, Venezuela, Yemen and other US "hotspots"
Tuesday, November 5, 2019
7:00 PM
Augustana Lutheran Church Community Room (downstairs)
2710 NE 14th (corner of NE 15th and Knott), enter through breezeway
Local Code Pink staff person Maya Rommwatt will appear as part of a panel
discussion to link the issues of climate change and war, update the
community on US belligerence in Iran and Venezuela, focus on the US's role
in the war on Yemen, touch on US Present in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria,
and more. Joining Rommwatt to speak about Venezuela will be Dan Shea of
Veterans for Peace Chapter 72, who visited that country in March 2019.
There will be an audience Q&A after the panel presentations. The event,
titled "Stop the Climate Crisis: End War A forum including updates Iran,
Venezuela, Yemen and other US 'hotspots'" will take place on Tuesday,
November 5, 2019 at 7 PM at the Augustana Lutheran Church, 2710 NE 14th
(at the corner of NE 15th and Knott).
One reason organizers in the Peace and Justice Works Iraq Affinity Group chose
this date is that it's expected the City Council will be considering a
resolution opposing US intervention in Iran on Wednesday, November 13 at 3:30
PM.*
The forum is cosponsored by Veterans For Peace Chapter 72.
A flyer for the event can be found at
