[pjw] EVENT reminders/updates: PJW Summer meeting Sat 7/27, No War in Iran/Venezuela Rally/March Sun 7/28

Hello again PJW supporters

This is a reminder that our Peace and Justice Works Summer Quarterly 
Meeting is coming up this Saturday, July 27 at noon (potluck) / 12:30 PM 
(meeting) at the Social Justice Action Center. Let us know if you plan to 
be at the meeting, we have a few RSVPs already, it helps to know how many 
copies to make of our materials.

The following day, Sunday, July 28, is the mobilization against US War in 
Iran or Venezuela at 1 PM at Waterfront Park / Salmon. There's now a 
facebook page you can share with people if you do that sort of thing (we 
don't):

I also wanted to remind you all about the volunteer list we sent out the 
other day--- we particularly need folks to get to the security team 
training this Wednesday the 24th at 6 PM.

And, one more thing about the rally-- we have an 8 foot by 8 foot canopy 
that isn't big enough for the "stage" for Sunday, we want a full 10x10 
canopy. If you own one you can lend us for use that day (or drop it off 
here earlier and we can haul it down and back) please let me know!

I'll send a full reminder about the rally out tomorrow with the updated 
cosponsor list.

Please join Peace and Justice Works for our 28th Summer Quarterly meeting on
Saturday, July 27. It starts with a 12 noon vegetarian potluck (bring
vegetarian food and non-alcoholic drink to share), followed by the business
meeting from 12:30-2:15 PM, at the Social Justice Action Center at 400 SE
12th.

Proposed agenda:

--updates on Affinity Group work (Iraq, Portland Copwatch, other);

--financial and office update, fund-raising, volunteer outreach;

--set Fall Quarterly meeting.

You don't have to be a member to attend a quarterly meeting... come by and
find out what we're up to!
